Riley has always wanted to be held during dinner time. It has been the "witching hour" for many months. Matt and I have become very adept at eating quickly with one hand.
Recently Riley has shown signs of being ready to try real food. So one night we tried applesauce.
She was beyond excited.
Tonight we had sweet potatoes. She eats them and then makes this cute smacking sound with her lips.
Sometimes she shoves the spoon too far back in her mouth, or she chomps on it sideways.
She refuses to let you put the spoon in her mouth. Her chunky little hand intercepts the food filled spoon on the way to her mouth and she shoves it in her face so quickly you swear you didn't even blink.
She loves every second of it.
Food makes Riley happy. Let's face it... Food makes us all happy!
